Writer Now
Ready to Share His Career Mishaps with the Rest of the World
For immediate
release
Orange County,
CA February 26, 2006 -- Michael Wiederman has officially announced
that his book is completed and is ready to be reviewed by literary
agents, editors, and publishers.
The non-fiction
book entitled: My Journey up and then back Down the Corporate
Stepladder
An Underachiever's Guide to Mediocrity. And Other
Meaningless Observations That Will Probably Get Me Sued, Disowned,
or Shot at Close Range While Attempting to Enter an Oriental Massage
Parlor, is
a satirical peek at his attempts to crack the creative and corporate
worlds. As Wiederman explains, "I wrote the book as a comical
yet insightful exploration into the situations that I have experienced
over the last 25 plus years since my High School days ended."
The book also
explores such topics as modern pop culture, the hypocrisy of those
within sports, news and entertainment, along with the sexual and
racial sensitivities that are negatively affecting us as a country.
What separates
this book from other similar projects is its tone or as Wiederman
told us, "It's not about some whiner who couldn't find a job.
I simply wanted to reflect on my experiences with a realistic attitude
and by utilizing humor."
Wiederman added,
"Most autobiographies by individuals that have achieved zero
or even a limited amount of fame are usually self-serving and badly
written with nothing to offer the reader. I hope that those who
read my book will at least see through the sarcasm and cynicism
while understanding my overall message plus also enjoy a good laugh
in the process."
A graduate of
the Cal State University, Fullerton school of Communications, Wiederman
received his degree in advertising where he has worked as a writer
for several companies. Before, during, and after that period he
performed many diverse jobs which he also discusses in his book.
In 2004 he received his MBA from the University of Phoenix.
