Website Showcasing
Author's Non-fiction Book Now Available For Agents and Publishers
to Review
For Immediate
Release
Orange County,
CA March 14, 2006 -- www.corporatestepladder.com,
the website promoting Michael Wiederman's book, My Journey up
and then back Down the Corporate Stepladder
An Underachiever's
Guide to Mediocrity. And Other Meaningless Observations That Will
Probably Get Me Sued, Disowned, or Shot at Close Range While Attempting
to Enter an Oriental Massage Parlor, is now up and running for
literary agents and publishers to look at.
"The site
provides good detail on what the book is about and its message,"
Wiederman said. He then added, "This way agents and publishers
can examine it on their own and then decide for themselves if the
book is right for them to represent."
The website
not only provides information on the book and author but also includes
pages displaying some comical material in order to demonstrate the
author's sense of humor. As Wiederman explains, "Because for
obvious reasons I haven't had the opportunity to receive any feedback
from industry people yet, I thought that pages such as a made up
bio and fake testimonials would not only give those surfing through
it a basic idea of what tone to expect from the book itself but
also make the site more fun in general."
The book is
a humorous and satirical slant on Wiederman's experiences chronicling
his stints within different corporate environments in addition to
his extensive searches for work. It also covers such other topics
as religious, racial and gender insensitivities and how those affect
us as a nation.
